What Temperature Sensors Do You Use?

temperature sensors

Inside the greenhouse and cat mini house are temperature sensors. They let us and you know the temperature that is inside their homes. We have three sensors that let us know the temperature of the greenhouse, main house, and outside. The sensors that we use are from Govee.

The Govee Hygrometer thermometer come in a three pack and are available for under sixty dollars. They are small and easy to use and set up. All you need is a smartphone to download the Govee Home App so you can quickly and easily monitor the temperature and humidity. You can monitor the app from anywhere, not just from your home.

Govee Temperature Sensors

Recently, we went into the greenhouse to look for the sensors and put them in the correct locations. The cats managed to take one of the sensors that was under the heated mat and placed it in the corner, buried under the straw. It took a bit of time, but I found it. We placed it again under the mat and covered it more so that the cats won’t find it and think it’s a toy.

The second sensor is standing on the shelf inside the greenhouse and the third one is set outside the greenhouse on the wooden “cat tree.” This tree is used by the cats, mostly Robin, in the spring and summer. It can be raining at times and he would be in deep sleep getting drenched on. That boy is a hoot!

If you want to know the temperature in your home or in your cat shelter, we recommend the Govee temperature sensor. They are easy to use, affordable, and you can connect up to 10 devices. The sensors do require AAA batteries which we changed out once, and we had some very frigit temperatures.
