What Paw Syndicate Flea Treatment do you Use?

fleas treatment

Recently, on the live chat I saw someone ask what flea treatment does the Paw Syndicate use? Fleas are an issue and can cause a lot of damage not just to your cats but to your home. When we met Mechel she told us about her disaster with fleas. “They were jumping out of the kitchen drawers!” she said! Well, we don’t want that now, do we? She learned her lesson and now bathes the cats the minute they come into her home. She also gives everyone Revolution Plus flea treatment.

Flea Treatment for cats

When it came to our indoor cats we never though about flea treatments. They didn’t go outside so this never seemed like an issue. Then came Buddy and Frankie, two cats that came from outside. They were not infested with fleas but had a few crawling on their bodies. They both were given Revolution Plus treatments that handled the issue beautifully! In order to keep the fleas at bay I purchased flea treatment treats from Amazon. I got two containers, one for the indoor cats and one for the outdoor cats. Neither of them really liked the treats but every once in a while someone from the PawSyndicate eats them. Who exactly, your guess is as good as mine. I know the raccoon eats them without any issues.

I have also purchased few “natural” flea treatments that were overpowering and the cats did not like. They knew I was trying to do something and the minute they smelled that peppermint oil, they ran for dear life! Another thing I have tried was Feline Essential Flea-Ex spray from Two Crazy Cat Ladies. Spraying feral cats with a mystery bottle did not go well. I ended up using it on the indoor cats and in the home as a prevention. I would spray the flea comb and comb the cats and then created a mixture to spray the home surfaces.

As a last resort, I purchased a flea trap. This is just a plastic device that has different light options and comes with 4 sticky pads. The light attracts the fleas (and other bugs) and they get trapped on the sticky pad. This light let me know that I did have a few fleas in my home. I like to keep this “night light” on to see if my home is infested and what other creatures it would trap. From spiders to tiny green flies, to gnats, this light attracts it all! I like the lights because they don’t have any strong smell or chemicals. I don’t like that it also traps tiny spiders.

What flea treatment do you recommend that we use for the Paw Syndicate? The next time I am at the vet, I will ask for Revolution Plus and see if I am able to administer the treatment to all the cats.
