While everyone sees Mama cat as the bully, they have noticed that Batman the Peacemaker loves to jump in and protect his lady. Since the first day that Batman came to our property, he fell in love with Baby. He would go up to her and she would run. Over and over again he would try to befriend her and she would smack him in the face. Then one day Baby gave in and the two have been inseparable ever since!
It’s hard to see Baby without Batman following behind her. If she crosses the street, here comes Batman going after her. If Baby goes outside to walk in the woods, he is strolling behind her. He is like a dog on a leash, or a very well behaved husband. I’m sure if Baby said climb this tree and get me that squirrel he would do it. Then again, Batman isn’t much of a fighter, he is a lover. And a peacemaker.
Batman the Peacemaker and Lover
Recently, our followers got to witness Batman as the peacemaker. When Mama cat smacked Baby on the head, he moved from the corner spot and came to her side. Even though Baby gave him a smack on the head, he didn’t do anything. Instead, he just stood there between her and Mama, and that was enough. Mama even gave him a little head nudge, and everything went back to normal. Drama was avoided and no one ran out of the house. You can see this drama unfold in the below video.
While Batman LOVES his Baby girl, he also makes sure to give love to Mama and Flipper. He bathes every cat, even Robin. As the saying goes, Batman is a lover, not a fighter. He just wants peace and to see everyone get along. You’ll see him often get in between Mama and her hissy-moods, and stand his ground. He is the biggest cat there, and probably the oldest too, so I guess he is a wise old man. Batman has learned that being the peacemaker is better than being a fighter, or perhaps he was always like this. Wish I knew him as a kitten.
